About CuriosiTEA Journal Club

CuriosiTEA Journal Club began with a group of friends who have known each other since elementary school. After years of playdates and growing up together, we wanted to do something new as we entered middle school (something fun, meaningful, and a little challenging). We read science stories from sources like The New York Times, Scientific American, and Google News, and practice discussing them through short summaries and abstracts.

Today, we read both science news and real scientific journal articles, practice writing abstracts, and turn what we learn into stories we can share. Our goal is to understand how science connects to the real world and to learn how to clearly explain scientific ideas as we grow over time.

CuriosiTEA Journal Club Members

CuriosiTEA JC is run by students who are curious about science and enjoy learning together. Our members come from different schools, but share a common interest in asking questions and exploring new ideas.

Each Section leader is responsible for publishing their own work, reviewing submissions within their category, and approving content before it is uploaded.
