A zebra nicknamed Ed, who had just arrived in Tennessee, escaped the community in early June. After the zebra escaped, it took searchers about a week before they finally recovered him in Tennessee.

Method:
They sent search parties to find Ed and return him. The police also used a drone to track him down. They tried to trap him, but it did not work, and they used home security camera footage to see where he had been.
Results:
The searchers eventually got more footage of him trotting through neighborhoods. They then found him on June 8 grazing in a field. He was then safely captured and airlifted back home.
